A Dire Warning...

In the hours of mid-morning among the streets of Avendel, the voice of a stern but sincere woman can be heard, channeled by the sending device at the local inn;

"Some time in the near future an Angel named Elnora will be murdered under the orders of one Marcus Alyn, in service to a man who would be a god. Know this everyone in the city, and be warned. This is not knowledge to be kept in the library. Take heed and prepare for what may come."

Soon after Vera leaves the city briskly, anticipating some measure of retribution. She does not stop to see whether any recognized her voice, although some might from the cataclysm of months past as a rallying cry for survivors.

Re: A Dire Warning...

Several things occur as a consequence of Vera's sending.

The first and most prominent is the skeptical inquisition waged by the city watch in search of Marcus Alyn. It becomes common knowledge within a day or more that this Marcus is a very young half-elven child, not capable of murdering anybody - assuming that he is indeed the correct Marcus Alyn.

Most people laugh over the incident, though the uneasy times make the laughter more a nervous than joyous sort.

A man is posted within the Blue Moon to watch over the sending machine, ensuring that no misuse occurs in the future.
