Re: What should we be focusing on?
They're pretty expensive and can be easily dispelled. That's the gold sink. The point is to even the gap between pure fighters and clerics/spellswords.

Re: What should we be focusing on?
Agree, and UMD becomes less important aswell.
But im down with whatever anyways. The duration of the potions is horseshit anyways.
Not that scrolls have any better but.. yeah

Re: What should we be focusing on?
UMD still gives access to tons of scrolls, and the ability to bypass restrictions on armour and weapons. I wouldn't at all call it useless.

Re: What should we be focusing on?
Aye not useless but less important. UMD is my favorite skill. Would be cool if various potions were spread out at different shops though.. better potions at longer distance.. stoneskin from dwarves maybe.. deathward from medbs court only.. (greater) invisibility from a gnome.. poisons (with changed duration cuz 3 rounds is awful) from shady markets, maybe docks or sewers..
That would make people have to travel, yay!.. which I hate!!! Thank god for UMD and shadow door!

Re: What should we be focusing on?
Just to clarify we currently have TWO DMing slots open. If you're seriously interested please don't be shy. You don't need to be an expert on Forgotten Realms or Andrune. You just need to be creative and enjoy story-telling. The rest can be taught.

Re: What should we be focusing on?
Even just having a dm on to make npcs react and interact with the players can add a ton of fun to a roleplaying environment. Plot developments don't have to happen every day or every week.
