Well, you can always take another stab at it. There are tons of time travel movies out there. emoticon

(And don't forget that you get to kick off the next category after that. emoticon )

Ah, movies where evil triumphs and the bad guys win in the end. I guess we shouldn't mention any "who" or "how" kind of details for the sake of avoiding spoilers, huh? emoticon

And the see-saw keeps going....

13 movies where evil triumphs:
1) Seven
2) Primal Fear
3) Saw
4) The Blair Witch Project

(Of course, I thought that Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 had an even nastier sucker punch of an ending than Blair Witch 1 did. I don't know why so many critics panned it. emoticon )

Back to you. emoticon

Lord of War also features a modern-day archetypical paladin. Neat.

I'll have to watch it one of these days. emoticon

Okay...Wreck-It Ralph probably wouldn't qualify here since, even though Wreck-It Ralph is a career bad guy, he was still playing the hero when he saved Sugar Rush (and the rest of the arcade) at the end. Plus, Ralph's not really evil...big, lovable, clumsy, destructive, poorly dressed, but not evil. And since the Cy-Bugs and Turbo are the only qualifying evil guys in this movie....

Got it. emoticon

3) Saw
4) The Blair Witch Project
5) Cabin in the Woods
6) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
7) Lord of War
8) The Empire Strikes Back (Star Wars Episode V, etc.)

Sure it counts! First, the Galactic Empire drives the Rebel Alliance out of their stronghold at Hoth. Then the Empire moves into Bespin, and then they coerce Lando Calrissian into leading the gang into a trap, Han Solo gets tortured and frozen in carbonite, and Luke Skywalker takes the bait, defies Yoda's warnings, disregards that vision in the cave and goes to Bespin, where he proceeds to lose a duel with Darth Vader. So Boba Fett flies off with Han Solo helplessly in his custody, the rest of the gang and Lando barely get out of Cloud City with their skin, ditto for Luke (plus he's minus one hand now) and Bespin is left firmly in Imperial control. And the good guys won't make a comeback until Return of the Jedi; for now, they must flee the Empire's domination and lick their wounds, and Luke also has to grapple with the revelation that his father is their evil archenemy and the slayer of his first mentor, and not a noble warrior who died with honor. Amirite?

Hey, the movie's 30 years old and everyone has seen it. What spoilers? emoticon
