Barghest Storyline Conclusion

So its soon time for this story-arc to come to a close. I'm presently working on the areas for the final quests, and those that will be affected by the outcome. I have not set a date yet, but it will probably be in 1-2 weeks. Given that we have a lot of characters involved in the storyline, and in different capacities, I plan to run a series of quests around the event.

1) An attempt to actually kill the Barghest. This will be larger-scale, I'll try to include as many people as possible though I personally find event quality declines as player-count goes up.

2) An aftermath event for Imperial-oriented characters, and mercenaries. This will be smaller-scale but offer opportunities to dramatically change the game-world.

3) An aftermath event for Nature-oriented characters. This will be smaller-scale but offer opportunities to dramatically change the game-world.

4) Any other events or initiatives players want to take.

What this means is that you shouldn't worry if you can't make it to the main event. There'll be something for everyone.

I should be around for the kill attempt with Isania provided it does not happen next weekend on Saturday evening. Look forward to seeing it all conclude! (For better or worse...)

Considering Meru's friednship with Melinda and Melinda's misadventures with the whole Barghest poison cure thing, I would very much love to be part of the killing attempt.

Other than that, Meru isn't particularly imperial or nature sided and my other characters aren't involved much in that storyline. o_o

Also, I agree that too many participants can make things less fun (moreso when the level gap gets wider) but this is something pretty major so it's hard to avoid. ^^:

Series of quests sounds good anyway! Kudos for putting the time and effort into it.

Yea i largely agree with you, more people takes away from the experience, everyone wants to have their say and its just becomes carnage, hard to follow! so yea multiple quests sounds excellent.

Ideally for me itd be the weekend after this one, nudge nudge wink wink... ive got mates up for this weekend like.

As for Caldur he has his own agenda to pursue, ideally before the kill attempt but im easy on how we go about that, on here or quickly online sometime, but if it doesnt happen its no big problem

Its ready when Its ready. No one was asked, or even expected, to bizarrely place characters or story-lines "on hold" until the event is finished.

I have other stuff to do.

I was simply inquiring as to any probable timeline that may be set, as we reached the end of the first two weeks. I don't think anyone has anything 'on hold', least of all in manners bizarre. emoticon
