Re: Newbie questions

Unfortunately the problem does seem to be the result of whatever overrides you're using. Is it the PRC by any chance? If your gnome looks like a dwarf a DM can help you or a relog might fix it. This bug comes as a result of NWN trying to give the "Mount Horse" feat to characters that don't have it.

Try creating an empty duplicate of the override folder and see if it helps.

Welcome, by the way!

Whats the relationship between Erawyn and the other Gods? From what I see, thanks to some of his followers he may have a bit of a bad reputation in some quarters; I've made a cleric of Erawyn, and was wondering how she would likely be received if she announced herself as such - I had planned to rp her as offering help, guidance, healing etc to hunters.

Hey Highlander, sorry for the delay in response.

Erawyn has sort of a mixed relationship with the other Fey Gods. You are correct in your observation that many of his followers have a mixed reputation.

As the Fir Bolg spirit of the winter and hunt he has a less than friendly relationship with the more gentle spring/herbivore/spring loving spirits. His followers will most likely regard these hippy gods as weak and and pathetic as they do not respect Erawyns philosophy that: Only the strong survive the winter.

His followers have a bit of a mixed reputation due to the wide spectrum of Erawyn worship.

"Bloodhunters" are considered Erawyn zealots, and take the wild survival of the fittest philosophy to the extreme. They are known to hold sacrificial human hunts, and work them self into a wild animalistic blood frenzy during their worship.

"Erawynians"-Are anyone who worships Erawyn, and are often simple hunters who pray for strength, and skill in the woods.

Your reception is going to be very dependent on who's receiving you. Most people living in northern rural regions close to the woods would welcome you, while an andrunesse person or people near the city will assume you're a blood drinking savage.

Re: Newbie questions

this is more OOC questions not just for DM, but for veteran players too:

- I've typically played on mid-high magic Action servers, where good-to-PG builds (PG = powergame) are typically required to survive harder areas. Part of playing here was to get away from "grind it out, get the gear" arms race on some of the server I play on and get back to basics, so to speak. Will an average build (e.g. taking relatively competent feat and skill selection based on the character build) be fine to explore around without constantly dying.

- do the druid animal companions scale well as you get into the teens? Again, I ask because on the servers I played, they become under-powered very quickly.

- Edit - what do I do with the language tokens? I see from another thread that they activate, but is that a one-time thing? or is it recurring? Do they activate and then I choose a language?

thanks in advance!

(if you couldn't tell, I'm a big planner)
