Character goals?

In this thread we will discuss the goals of each others characters. My hope is this will serve two purposes; first that DMs might take some inspiration and have a better idea what sort of things each of us wants to achieve with our characters, aswell as possibly drawing other players together to unite in common purpose. I'll start.

Aeron Khaine: Revive the dead town of Elkshire as a private military outpost, like a training ground for mercenaries, monster slayers and those seeking to perfect the art of swordsmanship alike. This could also take place within the ruins of Old Rivenmaur I suppose, it has better access to trade routes what with it being a port town. He still wants to slay the Barghest too, but that's being taken care of much better by others at the moment.

Chance Shadowswift: Chance is a gentleman thief. That is to say, he steals for the thrill, going where no theif has been successful and taking trophies to his skill. Currently he's eying the Librarians, figuring they've got some valuable stuff stashed away somewhere. He knows he'd need the help of someone else more magically inclined to do this, as there will certainly be doors and traps he won't be able to bypass through mundane means.

Thoughts, comments and criticisms welcome, or you can feel free to list your own characters and their motivations.

Re: Character goals?

Merunia: She wants fun and glory, for the most part, though currently she hopes to clear a certain someone's name (which might be possibly accomplished by slaying the Barghest, in a way). She is however concerned with the possibility of that helping an even greater foe.
Her personal real long-term goal is to find out about her ancestors, whom she believe to be avariels, as she was told by her tribe's elders that there used to be some in her area (and no other elves) and she clearly is half-elven. However, I have a few surprises in store for her in that regard. Yay self-discovery.

Anri Stonebreaker: I admit, I don't have much long-term plans for her. She was basically born of a desire to play a female dwarf who practices drunken boxing.

Gaelle: The minstrel from Bodkin wants nothing but to be the best archer in the land, even if the competition (including Isania who's also from Bodkin O_O) is very heavy. She is also fascinated with epic stories and history, either from the past, or present in which she can have her own role.
Lately, she has been fascinated by a certain Stranger, even to the point of imitating him and dressing up and vanishing. She wants to chronicle the mysterious vigilante's deeds.

Orasius: The necrosorcerer seeks knowledge of necromancy and perhaps a place of prestige among folks of Canneth's Reach who have a thing for his chosen school of magic. He is, however, of common blood.

Kriss: She's a mere bounty hunter with little plans beyond earning krown, for the moment.

Cassie
Being incomplete sucks, in her opinion, and so does ending up like the preceeding 162 experiments: as a (usually dead) failure. Her goal is to master necromancy and make Negative Energy an integral part of her very nature and body, but with a twist. Unlike any other necromancer of the past who would simply become liches, she wishes to go a step further than even them. #163 desires, with all that remains of her heart, to turn herself somehow into a truly unique being, one possessing and balancing both Positive and Negative within the same body: a being neither living, nor undead, but possessing traits of both. In the meantime, however, she's content to simply study all she can and attend to clerical duties in whatever crypts she can happen to find and make her own.

Knowledge is power, and knowledge of life and death brings power over all beings, living and unliving.

Caldur Ashalenner

Caldur has a number of goals, all working towards his ultimate dream of having his own vineyard/winery. Firstly to master his new found wyrmling abilities and understand them. How to do this he remains undecided, should he seek out magic to unlock his powers further or by guidance from similar people. This will give him brand recognition and a substantial competitive edge in the ruthless trade of mercenaries. Following on from that, he would obviously like to set up a proper company and begin to amass a fortune. But before he can sell up and settle down to make and drink wine he needs to come to terms with his past life as a paladin and either find a new worthy cause to fight for or a new god to serve, is there a god for booze? if not boozismo is his name emoticon
