All you've done is list some charts with no explanation of what these values represent. Also, regardless of whatever system is put together, I think something MAGICAL should be created only by someone who can cast MAGIC. IE: no swords of undead slaying for the rogue making a dagger. Something like that should be made by a priest of Kelemvor or something.

Sorry for not including more of an introduction but...
What this is is an on-line guideline to go by for both DMs and Players so that when we create items, they are balanced. I believe the values speak for themselves. They are the Enchantment bonus equivalents. Its not too hard to wrap your head around it.

Also, as Relm was saying, one needs to -know- magic (Divine or Arcane) to craft an Enchanted item ICly. I assumed that was common knowledge, but apparently (as it was brought up) this isn't the case. Sure a rogue or fighter can craft a Mundane Dagger... but if they want it enchanted what so ever, they need to get a spell caster.

For magic items I've always used this as a guide: [sign in to see URL]

Nice system, though.

The system looks well thought out, yes, but what do the "+# per" refer to? +1... piglet? +1 U.S. Dollar? +1 Big Mac and fries?

Re: Crafting PnP Style (Taken from the crafting section of a different server)

in PNP every thing is given a value by number. so if you have a +5 sword and another sword with a +2 and a 2d8 fire damage are the same. Both are +5 weapons (though the +2, 2d8 fire may not be the correct value for this comparison)

Ability bonus...................+1/2 per bonus

that means you would add a +1 value to the weapon if it has 2 ability bonus. Thus making the item have a +1 in value only. In pnp "+ #" would determine base cost of the item.
