An inquiry of ownership.
Aeron had ditched his usual garb of armour in favour for 'casual clothing', a crimson shirt with leather pants and boots, though his blade was still sheathed over his back. His mission today would be an easy one; he strode into the Avendel Library and spent a while wandering around, until he found books on the current noble lineages, firbolg tribes and mapwork of Aolyth. He spent the afternoon trying to figure out under whose jurisdiction the dead town of Elkshire lay, if anybody still dared to claim it at all.

Re: An inquiry of ownership.
Mr. Khaine,
This is in response to your inquiries regarding the unfortunate incident at the hamlet of Elkshire. The village and its surrounds are currently sovereign territory of his glorious majesty Emperor Aarus Merovin V. Under imperial law the lands of treacherous and rebellious vassals is to be placed under direct Imperial Authority - to be cultivated or awarded to a more worthy steward as we see fit.
I trust this answers your question.
Long give the Emperor!
James Corwin, Esq.
Office of the Steward of Avendel

Re: An inquiry of ownership.
"James Corwin, Esq.
Perhaps you have forgotten our first meeting, when you would not seek out signs of the Barghest plaguing New Rivenmaur and I, with companions, set out into the forest you would not tread. We emerged victorious of the beasts within, albeit with no news of the Barghest itself. That has not changed. I remained in the area for a while, venturing into the wilds to slay its kin, and it has not shown itself. We may have wait until the time of the next sacrifice to catch it. Regardless, you know me to be couragous in the face of battle. What cost does one need to pay to be judged worthy of claiming this cursed lay of land?
Aeron Khaine"
