Seager
So I thought I'd write up a couple short stories to explain my characters absences while I was in Africa with the Peace Corps giving out vaccinations(totally not playing WoW).
Seager sat in his office, enjoying another finely crafted cigar while rolling a coin absentmindedly over his knuckles with his free hand. With a sigh he stubbed out his cigar and murmured to himself, "They're late."
As if on cue, there was a heavy knocking on the thick door. "Seager de'Ethenne! Open up or we're breaking the door down!"
With his trademark grin, the elf flicked his krown into the air and let it land in safely his palm. "Door's open, mates. C'mon in and 'ave a drink."
Within a moment, three well armed guardsmen burst into the room. Two looked quite fresh, while the last into the room was an obvious veteran, judging from his grey hair and scars. Opening a drawer in his desk, Seager withdrew three additional glasses and proceeded to fill them from his half empty bottle of MacCutcheon's. The veteran began to reach for his offered drink before his companion stopped him short.
"He's a wanted criminal, Clintock. I won't have you drinking on the job with him. Seager de'Ethenne, we are here for your arrest. Come peacefully and we will not be forced to hurt you."
"Less we feel like it." His fellow fresh face chimed in.
"Wouldn't dream of causin' a fuss, mates. Rest of you lot waitin' outside?" The elf responded, finishing off his own drink and standing, ready and willing to go with them.
"'Fraid it's just the three of us, Mister Seager." The veteran replied, his timid demeanor betraying his anxiety.
"I'm sorry, mate? Just the three of you? Son of a !@#$. I must be losin' my bloody touch." He paused for a moment and stared at the bottom of his empty highball.
"Guess we'll just 'ave to show 'em their mistake, eh?" Setting his glass upon the desk carefully he turned to the obvious leader of the group and threw his empty glass at his face, simultaneously lunging for him with a grin on his lips.
