Re: Death and fire?

I wasn't picking on you, or accusing you of anything, and I'm sorry if you thought I was.

There have been several occasions where people have died or become wanted and have tried to change their identity so they can continue role-playing. I don't think disguises should be fool-proof necessarily, and obtaining a good one shouldn't be a matter of heading to your local magic shop. Unless you're a druid or shifter it should be a challenge. My only intention was to clarify the limits of the potion Sullivan purchased. This goes for everyone..

As far as black market role play goes? I posted no rules because I never imagined there being a black market where someone could get their hands on any magic item/device they might need. Generally, if you want to purchase/hunt for an item not represented in the game, but will have an impact on the game-world as a whole and not just your personal role play, you should ask a DM arranging for it.

Seager would be free to write a story in which he buys a cursed ring on the black market that drives him insane, for example... because its just affecting his roleplay. But he'd need to ask a DM about a ring that lets him read other people's minds because that effects other PCs too.

Re: Death and fire?

// Oh god didn't bother to read this stuff. I was more for the the first part saying this in not meant for the RP section... so drop the discussion. Just because I "tested" "in "character" how a few potions worked does not need all this. I didn't say Sully was rampaging round trying to fool all of you or attempting to change everything. For the most a true seeing could see past what he was doing, assuming he went that far. I am a DM and know what the spells do. let this thread end unless it has to do with RP! Sorry I exploded I just didn't feel it was needed to be said for such a minor thing.//
