Thanks to the effortsof a few heros, the town had scrubbed itself clean and boiled everything that would tolerate it. But disease is not a monster so easily slain. It can change and sleep and lay dormant. It can rise from obscurity and strike down even the most healthy. This was the case with Rivenmaurs militia. Three quarters of them are now confined to their beds. Most of them are stricken with with horrible fevers accompanied by, black seeping wounds, or violent coughing. The devastating hit to the towns forces leave it rather vulnerable. The town will have to depend on more mercenary help if they wish to defend against the elves or other enemies.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ortlindegal)Tue, 05 Feb 2008 00:00:47 +0000 Re: Nosocomial Nightmarehttps://bandrune.runboard.com/p133,from=rss#post133https://bandrune.runboard.com/p133,from=rss#post133Ne'zula told everyone to scrub and disinfect as much as possible while healthy to get rid of what they can before they get injured or sick, which seems to kick the disease into gear. She's also informed the dock crews that they might want to have messages sent via a clean source to the locations of any ships which left the town in the past week. She doubts the disease has anything of the sort to do with undead, considering healing magics are the antithesis of such. She'll leave magical theory to the old stump (Kieran)since she's more interested in the doing, not the talking. Her last main concern is spread of the disease via vermin of any sort. To this end, she's been rounding up any stray animals and sending them packing after cleaning them up thoroughly. As for herself, it's pretty easy to sterilize when you can become immune to flame and sit in a campfire for a few minutes. PS: She's not paying for the door she busted in since she saved the kids life. PPS: Any persons or animals found dead of the disease, she's burning to ash, whether the owner/family member likes it or not.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Tazon Dae)Thu, 17 Jan 2008 05:20:25 +0000 Re: Nosocomial Nightmarehttps://bandrune.runboard.com/p132,from=rss#post132https://bandrune.runboard.com/p132,from=rss#post132Malithra has given the mix of herb mix she used on the boy to anyone that could mix it. Instructions were to put it on any open wound. She has been seen going in and out of homes doing her best to come up with a cure. though she is limited in her supplies. She has a few guess on what the infection is. But the one in her mind that stands out at the moment is that it is some sort of undead infection (though she has yet to speak any of her theories), that is but a guess though. And do to the fact that many healers use magic in there helping of wounded (to some extent or another) the infection it self has in some way gained par shale if not full resistance to holy magic. Currently she is working on some thing more effective.nondisclosed_email@example.com (StrifeCade)Thu, 17 Jan 2008 03:02:43 +0000 Nosocomial Nightmarehttps://bandrune.runboard.com/p131,from=rss#post131https://bandrune.runboard.com/p131,from=rss#post131Keeper Adela panicked when the group came to tell her that Jack was sick. She had personally oversaw his treatment! She then remembered the student. That darn student she had been so happy to have come and visit her shrine. A healing apprentice from Avendel, she had come from the Large temple there to see how healing was done in the country. Adela had only ever read about these magic resistant diseases. Springing up in the big healing houses every once and while. She never dreamed shed have to treat one. While harmless to the healthy, the disease could quickly overtake the ill or wounded. Little Jack had been running around for weeks with that seeping wound. How much had he touched? How many people were now unknowing carriers? Having been informed of the situation, an order was issued from Ebonhart tower. All ill people were to be isolated in the shrine. All wounded were to have their injuries inspected daily. People were told to burn what couldn't be boiled. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ortlindegal)Thu, 17 Jan 2008 02:49:14 +0000
