Ugh... there is always someone to complain... *sighs*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1st off... speak to Numos about the -clan- of Whites dwelling in the Mountains or Dragon PCs. I have little control over that as it is his world I DM for.
2ndly... We have more dragons than posted at your "200" I'm sorry if this upsets you, PW, but not everything will agree with the version of Fae'run your running in your mind.
3rdly... We are not fully Fae'run if I understand correctly. The present plot isnt just for me to run, but works as a guideline to the many Dragons and Dragon Blooded we interact with near daily in RP. (Like Whisper's Sori.)
Side Note: PW. You and I both know Dragons in the standard and custom palates are weak as sin... It takes spawning the occasional huge one to bump ya off that log of yours and even larger still to present a challenge to our many high end players. If you don't like this, speak to Numos directly as I have yet to receive any other complaints from our present player base on the issue. If they have them, I have a rather empty PM box... Beyond that, unless I hear from Numos that the Dragon ideas should stop, you yourself, as a player, have the option to not join in and sit the plot out. I think MottSpot put it best:
The white dragon clan consists of just one ancient dragon, most of the members are kobolds, half-dragons and the like. I'm sort of basing it off of how Warcraft's dragonflights work. Lots of reptilian creatures serving a few true dragons.
Player characters represent less than 1% of the world's population and I would never use them as a guide for anything.
I think he's talking about more the style, than the demographics of a fictional world. The ultimate goal would be to make dragons uncommon and impressive.
Well compared to Faerun Aolyth is actually sort of lower-key, I think. Your plot is fine, however. As for Sori'anth she is just one character and does the dragon-thing well.
Ultimately, Dust, I'm cool with your plot. But keeping dragons rare enough that they're impressive is always a good thing. In general there aren't random dragon's lairs scattered throughout Aolyth. At least not in bulk. But you seem to be doin' a good job anyhow.
If you do want more impressive dragons, I can make you some. Also keep in mind that you can still make dragon NPCs wear amulets, rings and the like. Non-dragon minions and servants are also a good way to make a dragon's lair challenging without using a lot of dragons.
