I have no idea how death magic is going to factor into this. But it's pretty pointless playing a mage unless you can one-shot everything with Finger of Death.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Numos)Tue, 19 Feb 2008 16:33:37 +0000 Re: Bleeding and Deathhttps://bandrune.runboard.com/p357,from=rss#post357https://bandrune.runboard.com/p357,from=rss#post357quote:Soliea wrote: click bandaid, click person, easy no? Wait, now I'm confused. Isn't it currently the case that monsters/NPC's can either knock you below -10 hp, or continue to damage you after you're below 0 hp? I thought the proposal was that this would be removed, so that the only real way you're going to be killed beyond bandage repair was to "bleed out" (fail to stabilize and lose 1 hp based on time)? Am I getting this wrong?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Moseph)Tue, 19 Feb 2008 12:34:09 +0000 Re: Bleeding and Deathhttps://bandrune.runboard.com/p356,from=rss#post356https://bandrune.runboard.com/p356,from=rss#post356click bandaid, click person, easy no?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Soliea)Tue, 19 Feb 2008 12:27:14 +0000 Re: Bleeding and Deathhttps://bandrune.runboard.com/p355,from=rss#post355https://bandrune.runboard.com/p355,from=rss#post355I say it's a good call, provided it's easy enough to implement. It'll really alleviate the problems between the high and low level characters during a quest.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Moseph)Mon, 18 Feb 2008 21:01:24 +0000 Bleeding and Deathhttps://bandrune.runboard.com/p354,from=rss#post354https://bandrune.runboard.com/p354,from=rss#post354I'm sort of noticing that characters are either alive, or they're hit really hard and die. So you never end up, well, unconscious. This sort of makes it a necessity to bring a cleric or lots of raise scrolls along where-ever you go. I just had the idea that maybe when you're struck in combat and brought below 0 hp. No matter how hard you're hit, it will just put your hp at -something. So someone will need to tend to your wounds during or after the fight, but you won't be "dead" unless the rest of the party is really distracted, being killed themselves, or inept. How do people feel about this change?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Numos)Mon, 18 Feb 2008 14:23:51 +0000
