UMD is my favorite skill. Would be cool if various potions were spread out at different shops though.. better potions at longer distance.. stoneskin from dwarves maybe.. deathward from medbs court only.. (greater) invisibility from a gnome.. poisons (with changed duration cuz 3 rounds is awful) from shady markets, maybe docks or sewers.. That would make people have to travel, yay!.. which I hate!!! Sometimes I miss the hidden area trastitions and easter eggs from Immersea.. Like having a boulder that can be sundered, and under it was a little area transtition to some caves, or a hidden trapdoor under a chest you destroy. Anyone can spam TAB and find the Exploration paths. It was fun moving your mouse everywhere in the screen when exploring in Immersea, thinking you'll maybe find something hidden. The Dark Wood in Thorneymoor forest is a great example, even when hitting TAB, it took time to find what was in that area. Meta-plots are the big culminations of character arcs and world-changing events; these have little gravity less the above. Exploration and other scripted content (that faciltiates RP, such a fishing) gives more opportunity to rp outside the bounds of "let's go and kill stuff". A lot of opportunity there with or without DM supervision and as a plus it can give DMs some interaction ot oversee and plot out something nice for the PCs involved in future. High-level content and Dungeon-Crawling is nice, but this is a roleplay server and so mechanical issues in my mind are part of a wider background. It'd be nice, but it isn't crucial. Then again I hardly go into dungeons as it is so it's only my two cents. I'm seeing a few areas that need to be addressed: 1) High-level Content and Dungeon-Crawling: As most of you know advancement does slow down a little post-15, and gains after that are often DM dependent. That being said some high level encounters with interesting gear would still be welcome I'm sure. 2) Meta-plots: Moving along the big, ground-shaking story-lines of the server such as the Barghest, Witch-King, Ebarius, etc. 3) Smaller Storylines: Increasing DM activity and support smaller, player-driven arcs and initiatives. 4) Exploration: Representing more locations in the module, more hidden places to find, more artifacts to recover, and adding to our bank of exploration areas. 5) Other Scripted Content: Alchemy and Tinkering systems, Fishing, whatever else you can imagine.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Numos)Sat, 25 May 2013 01:58:40 +0000
